J hearts NYC

Here are a few of my favorite spots & things to do in NYC

- walk the bridges from Manhattan to Brooklyn - Williamsburg is my favorite because it was the first bridge I walked & the Brooklyn Bridge, while beautiful, has too many slow people.

-visit the Highline and have lunch at Chelsea Market

- catch a show or two at Upright Citizen’s Brigade - amazing improv, it’s great for a date or friends, they have cheap booze & tickets are like $10 or less. There are two locations, one in Chelsea and one in the East Village

- Dirty Hipster Basements with music that is way too loud otherwise known as my personal heaven: Botanica, Home Sweet Home, and The Commodore in Williamsburg

- Ninth Street Espresso has coffee (& espresso, obvs) that’ll change your life. There are locations throughout lower Manhattan including one in Chelsea Market

- The best, best, best coffee in Brooklyn is Oslo Coffee Roasters (multiple locations in Brooklyn)

- Places where anything is possible: Pianos, Zum Schneider, Brooklyn Bowl.

- Beer lovers rejoice: Spitzer’s Corner (LES), ABC Beer Company (East Village)

- Most amazing vegetarian fare: Caravan of Dreams (East Village)

- Tequila: Mayahuel (East Village), Los Feliz (LES)

- Hotel Lobby bar: The Ace Hotel, The Bowery Hotel, The Mondrian

- For those times when you want something akin to a speakeasy: Bourgeois Pig (East Village)

- Pizza with life changing / addictive qualities: Bite Me Best (East Village)

- Most amazing burger - Roebling Tea Room (Williamsburg)

- BBQ - Fette Sau (Williamsburg)

- When it’s 2 am and you want a snack- Pop’s in williamsburg
